Tis the season to be jolly!!!

This past week has been absolutely packed with ervicios, activities, more servicios, amazing almuerzos. Lets just start out on Monday, we had two noche de hogares, where we showed the short film, Only a Stone Cutter, which is great motivation to get people to go to church/magnify their calling. The movie was followed with some of the typical Chilean foods, Sopaipillias, Calzones Rotos, y Sopaipillas Pasadas. They are so delicious! Tuesday we had our district clases, almuerzo super lejos, and then a bunch of sweet citas! Miercoles we had our interviews with the President, and more sweet citas. Thursday was a little crazy, on the 11 de Sept, it is a little loco down here in Chile because it is the revolution day, so we had to get inside the house before 8, and the whole day we ended up doing a huge sercicio, restoring one of the members house that was in pretty bad shape. Friday, we had our day of activities, ping pong tournies, futbol with the jovenes, and a Family Movie Night for the members to invite their friends. Saturday, another servicio in Linares, in which my companion and I had to rewire and make eletrical outlets, and switches from a small house in the campo, then we had to clean our church here in Longaví, and then head back to Linares for the Adult seccion of conference. On Sunday, the conference just destroyed the whole day haha, we also met with our President of the Rama for a little while as well to discuss what we are going to do for the 18 de Septiembre!

For those of you who do not know, 18 de Septiembre is the first day that starts the festivals, of when Chile first started the Independence Process, and in such it is a little bit like the 4th of July in the United States, but here is celebrated with more festivals, parties, barbeques, dances, empanadas, everything, it is honestly more festive than Christmas, we have lights hung up, streamers, the whole lot, it is quite amazing! This week should be a blast, the work will be a lot less productive, but work we will none the less!

Hope to have more exciting events to tell, and miracles as well! Love you all and miss you as well!!
